Daily Routine of His Holiness at Sri Guru Math

His Holiness Parama Pujaniya Mahaswamiji begins the divine day during Brahma Muhurta, the most sacred time before sunrise. During these serene hours, Swamiji engages in Yoga and Pranayama, maintaining harmony between body, mind, and spirit.

Following this, His Holiness performs personal Sadhana and Anushtana - profound spiritual disciplines rooted in the timeless traditions of the Shankaracharya Guru Parampara.

In the later morning hours, Swamiji dedicates time to Swadhyaya (self-study), deeply studying ancient scriptures and sacred texts that form the essence of Sanatana Dharma.

Morning Temple Darshan and Blessings

By noon, His Holiness proceeds for Darshan of the Aradhya Devata at the Guru Math Temple. Here, Swamiji offers religious tributes at the Panch Guru Samadhi, followed by Darshan of Shri Sharadamba (Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom) and Adi Shankaracharya. Subsequently, His Holiness takes Maha Mangala Arati Darshan of the presiding deities — Sri Lakshmi Narasimha, Sri Durga Parameshwari, and Sri Chandramoulishwara.

After completing these divine rituals, Swamiji grants Darshan to devotees. During this sacred interaction, devotees receive Theertha and Prasada, and may perform various Sevas such as:

  • •Phala Pushpa Samarpan
  • • Paduka Pujan
  • • Bhiksha Vandan
  • • Vastra Samarpan

Devotees are lovingly reminded to follow the traditional dress code during Darshan — Men and boys are to wear dhoti and uparane, while women and girls are to wear Indian traditional attire. Swamiji meets each devotee individually, bestowing Phala Mantrakshata and providing personal spiritual guidance. After Darshan, devotees partake in Maha Prasada at the Annapurna Bhojanshala.

Special Observance on Ekadashi

On every Ekadashi, His Holiness observes Mouna Vrata (sacred silence) while continuing all daily duties with the same divine discipline and devotion.

Evening Activities and Spiritual Discourses

In the early evening, Mahaswamiji dedicates time to social welfare projects of the Math - reviewing and guiding initiatives under the Shantashram Charitable Trust and Sri Guru Math. Occasionally, Swamiji graces Satsangs and spiritual gatherings, where His Holiness shares discourses inspired by the teachings of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya, Bhagwan Shri Krishna, and the timeless wisdom of the Ramayana and Mahabharata.

Night Puja and Divine Closure

By 7:00 PM, Mahaswamiji commences the second round of Anushtana and spiritual practices. At 8:00 PM, the temple priest performs the Maha Puja and Aarti of the main deities, followed by Shri Chandramoulishwara Pooja performed by His Holiness at 8:30 PM. After the Aarti, Prasada is distributed to all present devotees. Later, Swamiji takes Darshan of Kshetrapal, Chamundi Devi, Nagadevata, and Gomata in the Gaushala. The divine bond between Swamiji, the cows and calves, is a sacred sight filled with grace and compassion. Even at night, His Holiness personally oversees various works of the Math, ensuring that every activity aligns with spiritual discipline and divine purpose.

Daily Routine of His Holiness Spiritual Campaign and Nationwide Visits

Today, under the divine vision and tireless efforts of Parama Pujaniya Mahaswamiji, the entire Vaishya Samaj - over 25 crore devotees across India - is being spiritually united under the sacred roof of the Mool Vaishya Guru Math, Kashi (Varanasi). With the divine resolve (Sankalpa) to unite the entire Vaishya community and to restore the glory of the ancient Mool Vaishya Guru Math, His Holiness has undertaken a historic Padyatra of over 3,500 kilometers - from Kaladi, the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya, to Kashi, the eternal seat of wisdom.

This sacred journey, spanning six months, symbolizes the spiritual awakening and collective unity of the Vaishya Samaj under the guidance of the Guru Parampara. Through His Holiness's nationwide spiritual campaign, the long-separated branches of the Vaishya community-known by different names across various regions are being brought together once again in the spirit of oneness, devotion, and Dharma.

The Mool Vaishya Guru Math in Kashi, the original and eternal seat of the Vaishya Guru Parampara, now stands as a divine centre of unity for all Vaishyas from the Vaishya Vani, Kannada Vaishya, Komati, and Arya Vaishya communities of the South, to the Vaishya Vanis of the West, and the Gupta, Jaiswal, Kesarwani, Oswal, Porwal and many other Vaishya lineages of the North and Central India. Across Central India and beyond, there exist more than 360 distinct Vaishya lineages and sub-sects, each preserving its own unique traditions and regional identity, yet all bound together by the sacred thread of Sanatana Dharma and the Guru Parampara of the Mool Vaishya Guru Math, Kashi.

Under the divine guidance of Parama Pujaniya Mahaswamiji, these diverse streams of the Vaishya Samaj are being spiritually reunited, restoring the community's collective strength, dharmic values, and glorious cultural heritage. During these visits, His Holiness travels from village to village and city to city, spreading the divine light of the Guru Parampara and showering blessings upon all devotees who come for Darshan.

After completing the afternoon Anushtana, Swamiji grants Darshan to devotees from 4:00 PM onwards.
